2020 Week of Gratitude
Since we can't be together this Thanksgiving season, BJP has prepared a week of social media events and challenges to share our gratitude for the many people who make our community special.

Saturday: What is the "true" story of Thanksgiving?
Mr. Rogers and some of our eighth graders sat down with us to reflect on the real story of Thanksgiving, from the perspective of the Native Americans. They discussed how the story has been changed over time, and why it's important to learn our history. We're so thankful for our teachers like Mr. Rogers, who are always willing to engage our students in challenging lessons and conversations. Friday: BJP Food Drive
BJP's Student Government organized a food drive to support New York Common Pantry. In the spirit of our students' generosity, we take a moment to reflect with gratitude for our donors and supporters for their own selflessness and generosity. Thursday: Thanksgiving Reflection
During our Thanksgiving Liturgy, Janiah shared a powerful reflection about Thanksgiving. Check it out here. |
