A Look Back at
Our 2nd Annual Gala Celebration
On Wednesday, October 30, 2019 the Trustees and staff of BJP hosted its 2nd Annual Gala Celebration.
Father Mario Powell, S.J., President of Brooklyn Jesuit Prep, addresses our supporters.
"BJP's mission is to break the cycle of poverty, but even more boldly our mission is to take the dreams of our students and make them dream bigger. Our mission is to partner with parents who live in Crown Heights, East New York, Brownsville, East Flatbush, and Bed-Stuy and to help them realize the dreams for their sons and daughters."

A select group of our students and alumni were in attendance to share why they love BJP and appreciate donors such as you who support our mission.
Adelani Adedoyin, BJP '15, Taft School '19, Freshman class at Columbia University, was our Master of Ceremonies for our gala. In addition to welcoming our guests, he spoke about what BJP has done for him. "BJP laid the foundation for my future success; and to this day the 5 pillars of BJP's mission ring in my head when I am in need of motivation. Intellectual competence, openness, love, commitment to justice, and dedication to religion should be the basis of every individual's character."

BJP class of 2018 and sophomore at the Loyola School, Makaila Brown addressed our guests sharing her enthusiasm and experiences. " ..., I don't think the phrase "graduated from BJP" accurately reflects my relationship with this school. In many ways, I will always be a BJP student...I don't think I'll ever be able to forget what BJP gave me, and I'm forever grateful."
