Melissa Theroux, Director of Counseling & Graduate Support
Melissa Theroux is the Director of Counseling and Graduate Support at Brooklyn Jesuit Prep, providing counseling to the current middle school students and supporting and assisting the graduates throughout high school, college and beyond. Additionally, she is the high school placement coordinator, working with 8th grade families throughout the high school application process. Prior to working at Brooklyn Jesuit Prep, Melissa interned at Richard R. Green High School and at the Fordham Career Counseling Center. She also worked as a Volunteer Advocate for the Crime Victims Treatment Center, offering crisis counseling to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
Melissa received her bachelor's degree at Bucknell University in Neuroscience with a minor in Philosophy and a master's degree from Columbia University Teachers College in School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling.
