BJP students are in school from 7:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon.
Our extended day model allows us to care for the entire person of each student. Over the course of the day, students have breakfast and lunch, community time, classes, recreation, quiet reading, athletics, and study hall.
The model reflects a harsh reality for many of our students: that home life may not always be the most conducive place for studying or having fun with friends. By opening our doors longer for our students, we allow them to be kids, without the pressures or responsibilities of home life.
How volunteering has helped BJP!
Study hall and independent reading are built into our extended day schedule. For some of our students, "homework" isn't best done at home. We offer our students a focused, quiet, state-of-the-art environment to get their work done.
Our extended day schedule transcends academics. Each day, we help develop our students' character growth, socioemotional development, physical health, and spiritual needs.
BJP's extended day gives our students the chance to be kids. Whether it's community time, advisory, or just a fun recess, we ensure that students get to hang out with their friends every day.
