Generations of Faith

On March 12, students performed spoken word readings, STEP routines, poetry, song, and more to commemorate Black History Month. The showcase reflected on the power of faith in the face of injustice, and students and their families gathered to celebrate the various cultures within our community. Each performance highlighted the importance of connection, including family, church, and school. The performances, which represented Caribbean, African, and American cultures, recognized perseverance in the face of adversity. We were excited to see so many creative mediums celebrated by our students.

Jesuit Province Christmas Party

Nativity Basketball Tournament

We are thrilled to announce that the BJP team won this year’s Nativity Basketball Tournament! We are so proud of our students - not just for their first place standing, but for their sportsmanship and camaraderie throughout the day. Our STEP team added all participating basketball teams to their routine, and our players cheered on not only their teammates, but their opponents as well. Thank you to Fordham Prep for welcoming us, St. Ignatius School, and St. James School for such a fun filled day. It was great to see schools within the NativityMiguel Coalition spend time together during a day of sportsmanship and play, and we’re impressed by all students, coaches, and fans for their dedications to their teams. Go BJP!

First Annual Christmas Showcase

High School Signing Night

We are proud to report that through our Graduate Support program, all 29 members of the 2026 eighth grade graduating class have been accepted into competitive Catholic high schools. Furthermore, our students were offered over $380,000 in scholarships and financial aid to attend schools such as Dominican Academy, Notre Dame School, Regis High School, Xaverian High School, and more. High School Signing Night is an opportunity for us to celebrate our soon-to-be alums with their parents, teachers, high school partners, and friends of BJP. It was a night full of well-deserved recognition, and we are thrilled to continue supporting our eighth graders through graduation and beyond.

Advisory Games

Students of the Month

Each month, we award four students with a certificate that celebrates their ability to embody core values of our school. We are proud of our Students of the Month for March 2026! Milleah, Kali, Isaiah and Sacred were presented the Empower Award for going above and beyond to empower their peers, making each member of the BJP community feel seen, heard, and validated. Milleah, Kali, Isaiah and Sacred each embody the spirit of BJP by demonstrating that a confident, strong community member is one that is confident and strong for others as much as themselves. We thank each of you for your empowering spirit and unwavering commitment to our school.

Epiphany Mass

Renew the Spirit of Camp Assembly

Our students dove into the camp spirit during an afternoon of an all school “rendezvous”! Renewing the Spirit of Camp includes a reenactment of a typical summer Sunday. Our students wore last year’s camp shirts while performing skits about our grad-at-grad values, participating in group dances, and reflecting on this year’s theme of Seeking Grace in All the Small Things. The whole BJP community is excited for another year at Camp Montmartre!

Thank you!

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

The fifth and seventh grade classes had their field trip to Brooklyn Botanical Garden this month! Our students spent time exploring the garden and conservatories, including the tropical and desert pavilions. Students then had the opportunity to speak to Brooklyn Botanical Garden staff about botany, with lessons including how a flower's life cycle works and what parts of the flower contribute to various functions. Thank you to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden staff for allowing BJP to join you for a day and kick off the spring season!

Thank you!
