We are excited to announce that BJP is now accepting applications for Fall 2026! Empowering underserved families of diverse races, ethnicities, and faiths, Brooklyn Jesuit Prep strives to develop young leaders who are open to growth, intellectually competent, loving, religious, and committed to doing justice.

Kevin Rolle, a Jesuit Novice, will join BJP for his "long experiment." During this time, he will engage in full-time apostolic service, immersing himself in our community. His role will support our campus ministry department as they educate our young people. In his first week, he has helped us with lessons, Mass, and has already become a great member of the team. Welcome Mr. Rolle! We are so proud to have you at our school!

This year, we hosted our first annual Christmas Showcase at school. Students performed comedic routines, songs, dances, and even skits. We've always known our students have great talent! But seeing them on stage proved to us and families just how creatively capable they truly are. We were proud to welcome Michael '25 as our MC. We also were surprised by a few members of our staff who learned and presented a step routine at the show.

Every July, over 60 middle schoolers from East Flatbush travel to Fairfield University's campus. Camp Montmartre, a three-week summer program, is an enrichment opportunity for all students at BJP.

As our Jesuit ideals teach us, it is critical to be men and women who serve with and for others. Throughout the Easter season, our 6th and 7th-grade classes visited the Vanderveer Park United Methodist Church just down the street from BJP.

This year, Mrs. Cheryl Malcousu will be retiring from Brooklyn Jesuit Prep after 31 years of service in education and 13 years at Brooklyn Jesuit Prep. The impact Cheryl has had on countless students, teachers, and families is immeasurable, and her commitment to Jesuit education is second to none.

On April 10th, we gathered at the Penn Club of New York to announce and celebrate the high school decisions of our 8th graders and the scholarships they received.

BJP is proud to highlight Charline Castillo '13, who recently spoke at our 20th Anniversary Gala. Charline delivered a thoughtful reflection about her time at BJP and the impact education has had on her.

Next week, the Class of 2024 will join the ranks of nearly 400 alumni who have graduated from BJP in our 20-year history.
